Tuto knihu jsem se rozhodl napsat nejen proto, abych inspiroval další lidi k výletům na festival Banát a zaznamenal úžasný několikadenní výlet, jenž jsme podnikli s mým kamarádem Standou do rumunského regionu osídleného českými krajany a do srbského historického města Niš, ale chci tím také pomoci lidem, kteří se během svého výletu do Banátu rozhodnou kromě návštěvy festivalu poznat i další zajímavá místa. Záměrně dávám do nadpisu motorkou a autem, protože oba dopravní prostředky vám dají velkou míru nezávislosti na klasické dopravě na festival Banát, tedy vlakem či autobusem, ale zároveň vám umožní prožít i neskutečné zážitky z cesty. Během této cesty můžete vidět nejen spoustu historických památek z různých období, ale také přírodní zajímavosti a unikátní kulturu, která postupně zaniká. České kolonie v Banátu jsou historickou ukázkou toho, jak si Češi dokázali vybudovat prosperující domov i v původně nehostinné a opuštěné krajině pohraničí habsburské říše. Byť to zní exoticky, dnešní Rumunsko a Srbsko jsou země bezpečné, možná dnes již i bezpečnější než některé oblasti západní Evropy, a jsou v nich zahraničními cestovateli ještě ne plně objevená kouzelná místa. I proto jejich návštěvu doporučuji; já sám využívám území Srbska i Rumunska ke svým cestám do Bulharska a dalších zemí. Snad vás tato má publikace obohatí a namotivuje k návštěvě nejen festivalu Banát, ale také k poznání nám tak blízkých společností a historicky spojených národů. Protože právě takovýmto poznáváním a prožíváním se nejen obohacujeme, ale také prohlubujeme naší společnou identitu Evropanů.
