Příběh člověka, který měl rád hornictví. Pracoval v rudných dolech, uranovém průmyslu a hlavně v OKD, kterému věnoval 35 let svého života. Měl možnost nahlédnout do hornictví z neobvyklých úhlů a proto čtení jeho pamětí může být zajímavé. Knihu psal tak, aby byla zajímavá pro odborníky a srozumitelná i pro ty, kteří by se chtěli o hornictví více dozvědět.Hornictví ho neopustilo ani v období zaslouženého odpočinku a tak se v té době zasloužil o vydání dvaceti obrazových atlasů a organizoval v rámci KČT turistické tématické akce po hornických památkách.Jeden z atlasů je prvním ATLASEM TECHNICKÝCH PAMÁTEK V ČR.Říká, že paměť hornictví by měla být uctívána a udržována pro další generace.
